LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the midst of the years. In the midst of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.<\/em>\u00a0– Habakkuk 3:2<\/a><\/p>\n

He [David] said, \u201cThe LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,\u00a0 my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence.<\/em>“<\/em> – <\/span>2 Samuel 22:2-3<\/a>

God is our refuge and strength, <\/span><\/span>a very present help in trouble.<\/span><\/span><\/em>
\nTherefore we will not fear…<\/em> – Psalm 46:1-2a<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

“My God sent his angel and shut the lions\u2019 mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him…”<\/em> – Daniel – Daniel 6:22<\/a><\/p>\n

The hand of the Lord<\/span> was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord<\/span> and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones.<\/span> And he led me around among them…<\/span>And he said to me, \u201cSon of man, can these bones live?\u201d And I answered, \u201cO Lord God<\/span>, you know.\u201d<\/span> Then he said to me, \u201cProphesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord<\/span>.<\/span> Thus says the Lord God<\/span> to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live…<\/span>and you shall know that I am the Lord<\/span>.\u201d – <\/span><\/em>Ezekiel 37:1-6<\/span><\/a>

When we read the great accounts in Scripture of the Lord’s showing up and radical things happening, we stand in awe of such a God. Our faith increases and our prayers follow. Displaying faith in a faithful God.<\/p>\n

Here in this modern day, we have our own stories of God’s great deliverance. We, like the ancients probably, also struggle with hoping and praying He shows, but with little faith. I have a fantasy about Heaven. Borrowed from a friend, actually. With all of eternity before us, part of how we spend it could be in some sort of venue where we are able to see bits of our lives (on some sort of video screen) as God intervened in those bits… situations where He showed up, and we may not not have realized He was there. I love thinking about Heaven. In my fantasy above, it’s like “Let’s watch the morning of [great catastrophe or miracle day – fill in the blank] – just to reminisce but more to see it how God saw it. Or any ordinary day….or so we thought, and God put together a seemingly random series of “coincidences”, as He does something glorious in the life of a neighbor, coworker, or stranger passing by.<\/p>\n

“Small world”, right? NO…BIG GOD.<\/p>\n

God is good. No matter what. He is also magnificent in power and perfect in love. We know this from His Word and from His transforming work in our lives.<\/p>\n

Our prayers and praises should reflect the greatness of God. One day we will see clearly the final outcome of His movement in our lives and throughout history. Hallelujah!<\/p>\n
